Reconditioning and technological upgrade of a large glass wall (8300 mm wide by 3000 mm high) with a retractable self-closing system.
A project not only in terms of engineering but also of technology, to implement the functionality of the gate in terms of: speed of movement, durability of the mechanism over time, remote monitoring and assistance.

The structure
To give new life to this gate, it first had to be removed from its location to be reconditioned, upgraded and then repositioned. The metal structure, stripped of its glass panels, was entirely sandblasted and repainted, retaining its shape and colour.
The implementation
Once the structure had been reconditioned, the mechanical and electronic parts were replaced by inserting a remote control and remote assistance system with constant detection of the gate position, thanks to the use of absolute encoders. A hydraulic control unit, equipped with proportional solenoid valves, drives the movement of the cylinders, allowing them to slide vertically.
Particular attention has been paid to performance, in terms of lifting speed: in fact, thanks to the new system, it has been possible to considerably reduce the time from the previous 25 minutes to the current 2.5 minutes.
